Challenge: GM has set an ambitious goal for their EV fleet, but lacks segment insights and strategic vision for making that goal a reality
Solution: New value proposition, end-to-end service map, product concepts, and corporate storytelling artifacts for selling in new offering

General Motors approached Designit with an ambitious goal of selling one million electric vehicles by making EVs affordable, desirable and useable at scale.
With a service-led approach we looked to look closely at the end-to-end experience of EV ownership, identify archetypal purchasers of EVs, identify their paint points, and facilitate co-creation sessions to ideate towards opportunity areas to create new business/service concepts. Coming out of those sessions we created service journey that was an end-to-end model that links together existing and new services, the technologies that supports those services, and how staff can support this new process.

We created an animatic story that walks viewers through the end-to-end service offering. This animatic paired with high fidelity UX/UI concepts, was used in executive level meetings to secure budgets for developing the new services and technologies that supported GMs ambitious of goal of moving over one million EVs.
